PROGRAM DETAILS

 

 

Healthy Bodies/Healthy Minds offers yoga, fun movement, nutrition, gardening, wellness, and teen leadership. Each component is detailed below.

 

 



Yoga

Includes individual and partner poses, meditation, mindfulness, and breathing techniques.

 

Fun Movement

Running, jumping, balancing, and team activities. This is usually done to fun upbeat music.

 

Nutrition

Includes five food groups lessons, stories, hands-on activities, as well as projects dealing with the special benefits of foods.

 

Gardening

Planting activities with projects related to the parts and benefits of plants.

 

Wellness

Meditation, character-building lessons, affirmations, scriptures, and positive group interactions.

 

Teen Leadership

Includes everything listed above in order to encourage teens to lead healthy lives and model healthy habits to others.

 

Private sessions for clubs or teams can include all or selected components.
