We Are in Control of Our Own Happiness

November 22, 2016

Have you ever felt discouraged and disappointed after hearing bad news? Has someone ever said something to you that has ruined your whole day? Have you ever made a mistake and you've kept rehearsing in your mind how you could have done it better- while ignoring all of the wonderful things that has occurred during the day? You're not alone. Many of us feel this way at different times. But the question is- why do we allow ourselves to suffer- when we hold the key to our own happiness.

I want to encourage you today. The next time that you feel this way- say the following to affirm that you have a better option:

" I acknowledge that I am disappointed, but I also know that I have the power to choose how I will respond or react. I am wonderfully made. I have the power to change my mood instantly with guidance and help from a power that is bigger and stronger than I. I am smart. I am wonderful and this too shall pass."

Namaste- The light in me- sees the light in you.

                 You have the power.

Worry is like a rocking chair.

It will give you something to do,

but it won't get you anywhere.
